Everybody knows Arjun Kapoor is a massive Salman Khan fan. Salman not only helped the young Kapoor lose tons of flab, the superstar continues to mentor the junior even now.
To no one's surprise Arjun Kapoor lip-synced and danced to a song 'Main Superman Salman Ka Fan' as a tribute to his idol in the film Tevar.
At an awards function on Saturday, the Salman song was modified and extended to accommodate Shah Rukh Khan's stardom. So the modified song that Arjun sang on stage went, 'Main Superman Shah Rukh Ka fan'.
The buzz is, the change in the song was brought about on request from Shah Rukh Khan's team.
However sources from the Kapoor clan have another story to tell, "It was Arjun's father Boney's idea to modify the song for the awards function. Shah Rukh and Salman were both attending the function. It'd have looked like a snub to Shah Rukh to sing only about Salman. Luckily Aamir Khan didn't attend the awards. If he did surely Boney would have made his son add Aamir's name to the song."
However Arjun Kapoor denies adding the other Khan superstar's name to the original song on his father's request. "My father doesn't interfere in my work. Salman, Shah Rukh, Aamir, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar were all mentioned in the tribute."
Incidentally, Kangna Ranaut kept her promise of not attending any of the popular awards. Though she won the richly-deserved Filmfare award on Saturday night for her performance in Queen, she wasn't present to collect the award. Her director Vikas Bahl did the needful.
The surprise omission in the awards list was Tiger Shroff for Best Male Debutant. Filmfare preferred to give the award to the popular Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.
Tiger's mother expressed surprise and disappointment.
