Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's much talked about comeback vehicle Jazbaa, which did not meet trade expectations, seems to have triggered a controversy even after months of its release. A few technicians who worked for the film have now alleged that they haven't received their dues for the film even now.
It has been learnt that the Director of Photography Sameer Arya, screenplay writer Robin Bhatt, choreographer Ahmed Khan and dialogue writer Kamlesh Pandey are the ones who haven't received their dues for the film and it is being said that the total amount to be paid is approximately Rs. 20 lakhs. Kamlesh Pandey added that they indeed haven't received their dues and when they spoke to Gupta, the director mentioned that they are yet to get money from Essel Vision (who are the co-producers of Jazbaa). However, when Pandey asked Essel Vision on the same, they claimed that they have already given the money to Gupta's White Feather Films.
Nitin Keny, CEO of Essel Vision, asserts that they have already paid the required cost of direction and production to Sanjay Gupta's White Feather Films. They have further also alleged that Sanjay Gupta was supposed to get into an agreement with actors, technicians and the crew, by making the payment through the production cost given to him and they have informed the crew about the same.
We await clarification on this story from Sanjay Gupta's side.
